Endurance range. The DBR9 has a superb standard of decoration and the high
detail interior and metal etched small parts for finer detail make this model
stunning to look at as well as race. The chassis has been updated to offer the
DPR feature enabling easy upgrade to digital operation.

1st Position, Le Mans Series 1000km of Silverstone, GT1, 13th Sept 2009

Gone are the days when motor racing was all about the performance and reliability of the car coupled with the skill of the driver. Motorsport engineers now want to be able to make decisions based on engine, chassis, gearbox, and other performance related parameters remotely, from the pits. Gigawave has developed a wideband data link capable of providing 1-2 Mbs. The new data link is based on Gigawave's digital on-board camera technology which is used to provide viewers with live POV images of MotoGP and other world championships.

Recently, the new system was tested under actual race conditions at Silverstone Circuit in the UK. Installed on an Aston Martin DBR9, the data link allowed team personnel to view complex real time data and adjust important performance parameters. According to the team principal, this helped the team to finish first in the GT1 Class. For Gigawave, it was another example of motorsport technology in action!
