Overview
The "C"Hornet is the Navy and Marines front-line strike fighter and is an upgrade of the "A" version adding better radar and avionics. The "C" also carries a wider variety of weapon systems. In addition, the advances include electronics packages specifically for night attack missions. On current duty in the Gulf, the F/A-18 also serves the Air Forces of Australia, Canada, Finland, Kuwait, Malasia, Spain & Switzerland. The F/A-18C was produced up until 1999.
